Pathfinder Bioinformatics is a start-up company whose mission is to provide superior informatics
solutions to improve efficiencies in biomedical research and development. Amazing technological
advances in sequencing technologies have driven down the cost of DNA sequencing at an exponential
rate. Ultra-cheap and powerful sequencing will spur wide spread applications in biomedical research
and usher in the era of personalized medicine. Bioinformatics tools that analyze, extract and present
information from the raw DNA sequence data are essential in the application of sequencing.
Newer sequencing technologies also create novel and unmet challenges in data management and analysis.
The goal of our company is to meet the rapidly growing market demand by offering a suite of web-based
informatics tools.
Our first generation of products will be web-based integrated solutions for managing and analyzing
sequence data from the next generation sequencing technologies. We plan to release the beta version
in Q2 of 2009.
